Sir Elton John to have street named after him
Councillors in the London borough of Harrow are considering honouring their most famous former resident following a Local Government Network report which encourages the celebration of local heroes. Deputy leader of Harrow Council Councillor Susan Hall said: "We are supportive of any initiative that supports pride in our streets and strengthens a sense of community. "As long as local people back the idea, in Harrow we could look at Elton John Avenue or similar to mark the achievements of a true international achiever. “I saw Sir Elton in Las Vegas earlier this year and thought he was wonderful. "He is a real showman. He came from humble beginnings and it shows that if you have talent and drive you can become as famous as him." The council will discuss their proposals with the 61-year-old star ᾢ who was born Reginald Dwight ᾢ before unveiling the scheme in a full council meeting early in the New Year. Under the scheme, other possibly names being considered for the honour include ‘Foundations’ star Kate Nash, comedian Matt Lucas, and singers Simon Le Bon, Billy Idol and Peter Andre.

The film tells the story of Ian (Josh Zuckerman), the 18 year old lovable virgin who sets out pn a cross country drive with his best friends Lance (Clarke Duke) and Felicia (Amanda Crew) in order to lose his virginity to a red hot babe he met on the Seth Green, who plays a sarcastic Amish farmer helped convince Fall Out Boy to be in the film, much to the delight of their massive fanbase, some of which appeared as their cameo comes about halfway through the film, when the three main characters,whose car has broken down during a cross-country trip to Tennessee, find themselves stranded in the middle of an Amish community and the band are there to play a gig Fall Out Boys brand new album 'Folie a Deux is out now and features the single.

Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and a reunited Blur will likely headline Glastonbury, Europe’s most famous multi-day festival, this summer.According to the British newspaper TheSun, Glastonburyboss Michael Eavis has confirmed that the three veteran acts will anchor the eclectic multi-bandfestival. Though everyone from R.E.M. to Pulp to Al Green to Phish to Paul McCartney toRadiohead and Oasis have performed at Glastonburyduring Eavis’ twenty-plus years with the festival, last year the mega-eventreceived some slack from artists and musicians alike. Many fans wondered if risingindie-rockers Kings of Leon where big enough to headline the festival’s marqueeFriday spot and Oasis’s Noel Gallagher spoke out against the festival’sdecision to book a hip-hop act such as Jay-Z as a headliner. The outspokenrapper responded by covering Oasis’ “Wonderwall” during his festival performance.
